How can a HIV/AIDS-infected person receive Anti-retro

(a) Treatment is only available at the GUM Clinic
of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation
(b) No appointment is needed to go to the Clinic
(c) The Person must first be HIV/AIDS-infected
(d) Any such person can simply go to the GUM
Clinic and solicit assistance
(e) The infected person becomes a member of the
clinic by first becoming accepted as a patient
(f) Membership is only given to persons who are
symptomatic (those who show symptoms of the
disease) – see below
(g) Those persons receiving membership are also
exposed to counseling

is situated at the Middle Street Entrance of the Georgetown Public
Hospital Corporation. The Anti- Retro Viral treatment given to
patients at the clinic is produced at the Guyana Pharmaceutical
Corporation. Over 210 HIV/AIDS-infected persons are treated at
the Clinic.
